Oui! Oui! Oui! My own French and perfect Cookbook!

My dear poor non-French people,

You know, I think my derrière is surrounded by pasta.
Bordé de nouilles!
If you don’t speak my very poetic and surrealist native tongue, here is what I mean by that: I’m the luckiest French and perfect girl I know…

When I started this crazy adventure of French and parfait, two years ago, I did not even dare to dream about it, and pourtant, here it is…
I just wrote a cookbook.
My own cookbook!
And it’s not a small one… 300 recipes!
Trois cent! Almost one for every day if you  subtract all the holidays in France!

So what is there exactly in this petit chef d’oeuvre? (Yes, that might sound a little overconfident, but quoi, I’m French and I’m being published in the US, so I have to play the part!).

Well, “c’est comme le Port Salut, c’est marqué dessus“, as  any of my French and perfect compatriot would tell you.
It’s like Port Salut cheese, it’s just written on it!

The Everything Easy French Cookbook

Everything
Because I tried to write all the recipes that I could tell would be cooked in any French kitchen. The ones any French home cook use on a daily basis (quiches, salades composées, gratin dauphinois, mousse au chocolat…), and for special occasions, like family reunions, or the Holidays (galette des rois, bûche de Noel, dinde farcie...). I also added recipes for French basics that you need everyday, in the spirit of what I do on the blog called “French cooking 101″: vinaigrette, béchamel, crème anglaise

Easy
Because of course, the 300 recipes are all easy to follow, and do at home. You know by now that my goal with French and parfait is to show you that French cuisine does not always mean that you have to have been trained in a 5 stars restaurant kitchen to do it.
66 millions of people cook French cuisine every day at home, and they don’t have more time than you do in their daily schedule. Eating well doesn’t have to mean striving in the kitchen.

French
Because I’m French and perfect, patate! I tried to find recipes that really belong to the French DNA. Lots of them were passed along by my family, grand mothers, my maman, my uncle, my friends… And I also wrote lots of small tips and related stories that I love. For example, did you know how hot cocoa was invented in France? You have to buy the book for that!

Cookbook
Because I think it’s a book that you will be able to live and cook with for a long time. I hope it will be a very useful tool for you cook French at home, and that all its pages will soon be stained and corned down.

I hope this all puts water to your mouth, que ça vous met l’eau à la bouche, teases you so much that your mouth waters…

The good news is you can already purchase the book right now, on amazon, and for a much cheaper price! 30% less if you preorder now.

You can even get a preview here!

And to celebrate this historic moment properly, I invite you at my dear friend Jacques’s restaurant, l’Assiette Steak Frites, on February 24th, for a book signing dinner! More details to follow!

Voila!

So excited and anxious to know what you think of it!

Merci les amis!

    Bonjour,
Est-ce qu’il y a des illustrations dans le livre ? Je n’en vois pas dans les aperçus disponibles sur le web.
    Merci d’avance.
